A year after its first NFT collection, the iconic toy retailer has announced it is launching an NFT collection on the Solana blockchain in collaboration with Anybodies. Anybodies is a digital fashion agency that brings web3 experiences to life. This announcement comes after the Toy company had hinted of a potential NFT drop on Solana with a Tweet back in October which read “Hello Solana.” As part of the blueprint for this NFT collection, Toys R Us will release a 10,000-piece collection, based on Geoffrey the Giraffe, on Solana NFT Marketplace Magic Eden.

How Much Will a Toys R Us NFT Cost?
The NFT collection will go live on December 9, with each NFT set to cost $100. Whitelist members will receive 2,000 NFTs from the public sale, with the remaining 2,000 NFTs going to the general public. Three stages of the presale have also already started. That includes a private presale, a 500 NFT early bird sale, and a 1000 NFT sale only for Anybody’s NFT holders. The Anybody’s and Early Bird sales are sold out. Toys R Us also granted whitelists to the first 500 users who joined their Discord channel.
Toys R Us Blueprint
Toys R Us Blueprint contains many exciting elements that are meant to go along with the release of its NFT collection. According to it, the utility-based NFT collection will provide holders with exclusive access to new Toys R Us flagship stores, shopping events and more unique experiences. It gets exciting as NFT holders can also stake their digital collectibles and earn $Gcoins. Users can also earn the SPL (meaning tokens built on the Solana blockchain) token by attending events and making purchases online and in-store.
The toy company also plans to launch its digital flagship stores that will feature in some of our “favorite games” Furthermore, Toy R Us is launching an NFT marketplace where users can buy, sell, trade their physical and digital toys. Additionally, traders will have early access to hot toys on the marketplace.
The blueprint also features an IRL store campaign in which Toys R Us will collaborate with other NFT projects to create limited-edition collectible toys based on the project’s collection. That will help create a phygital experience for holders of those NFT collections as they will most likely have early access to the physical toy of their NFT.
Toys R Us’s NFT collection is powered by Anybodies and as part of the collaboration, the creative agency will help the toy company use NFT, NFC, and AR technology to bring their toys into games and social media.
