• The hyper-realistic digital form of the late rapper in a red velvet tracksuit appeared inside Meta Horizon Worlds, a virtual world experienced through the Meta Quest virtual reality (VR) headset. The immersive concert experience also included a narrative journey through Biggie’s — who was born Christopher Wallace — early life and featured guest performances by Sean “Diddy” Combs, The Lox, Latto, Nardo Wick, and Lil’ Cease.

• In Horizon Worlds, there were about 120 floating avatars gathered in a lifelike concert venue, tuning in from their virtual reality headsets. It was incredible to experience 360 degrees of sights and sounds though some movements and flashing lights were slightly disorienting.

The Digital Recreation of 1990s Brooklyn

The virtual reality concert experience was created by Horizon Worlds in collaboration with Voletta Wallace, Notorious B.I.G.’s mother and guardian of his estate, as well as other partners including Bad Boy Entertainment and Mass Appeal Records. It was designed with the goal of resurrecting Biggie Smalls through the use of cutting-edge technology, allowing fans to feel like they were actually in attendance at a live show from almost 30 years ago — complete with digital avatars representing Biggie Smalls on stage and crowd members scattered throughout the venue!

To create an incredibly realistic version of Biggie Smalls for the VR concert, Horizon Worlds used motion capture performances from actors as well as previously recorded audio samples from Notorious B.I.G himself to create an AI-powered digital human that was capable of performing some of his greatest hits live on stage — just as if he were alive today! Additionally, guest appearances by Sean “Diddy” Combs, The Lox, Latto, Nardo Wick, and Lil’ Cease added to the authenticity of this incredible experience for fans who tuned in from their VR headsets all over the world — creating an unforgettable 360-degree sight and soundscape with disorienting movements and flashing lights!

Horizon Worlds also gathered 120 avatars from around the world in its life-like venue for an exclusive showing before launching it publicly on April 10th — allowing fans everywhere to have a chance at experiencing what it would be like to see Biggie Smalls perform live once more!
