Metaverse Alliance

Joining forces to make the metaverse safe

The metaverse is going to be the new way to play on the internet and many believe certain rules and regulations should be created to make sure things don’t go astray.

Multiple platforms have decided upon an Open Metaverse Alliance (OMA3) to deal with interoperability and the challenges that may come with that.  The four tenements of the agreements are transparency, inclusiveness, decentralization, and democratization.

The organization was formulated by Alien Worlds, Animoca Brands, Dapper Labs,Space,Superworld, The Sandbox, Upland, and Voxels. The official announcement made note that overcoming interoperability challenges means focusing on standards proposed  to facilitiate collaborations between the various stakeholders, users, and industries.

OMA3 will be a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) ensuring a transparent and user-centric governance mechanic. The DAO will be focused on standards, NFTs, protocols, transferable identity, portals between the virtual worlds, mapping and indexing.

The alliance also plans to join in on the Metaverse Standards Forum which is a constellation of web3 companies working together to build existing standards relevant to the metaverse.

More details will be forthcoming in the Global NFT Summit happening in London this Friday July 22,2002
