In Japan, the gaming firm Akatsuki ( no not the naruto villains) reported that they have raised $20 million in funding to be focused on investing in projects that are meant for web3.
The fund has been dubbed Emoote and has the goal of backing startups working in the GameFi sphere. The fund will help will building NFT projects and metaverse opportunities. The name of the project comes from the belief that NFT projects and consumption are all emotionally based and have emotional values.

Currently, the project has an investment focus that is 50% in Asia and 40% in the United States with the other 10% still being undecided. There will be bonus options for those companies that agree to cooperate with Japanese companies

Akatsuki has gained worldwide recognition for its development of Dragonball Z: Dokkan Battle with Bandai Games, which has already garnered more than 350 million downloads worldwide to this day.
