Adidas Launches New NFT Collection

Adidas has launched the ALTS by Adidas collection, the second chapter of its Into The Metaverse NFT ecosystem. The ALTS by Adidas collection is a dynamic NFT ecosystem that allows Into The Metaverse NFT holders to burn their tokens to join it. The new collection offers a stake in the ALTS by Adidas ecosystem, commercial IP rights to their character, access to exclusive virtual wearables, entry to holder-only community gatherings, and token-gated Discord channels, among others. The dynamic NFT has eight different “ALT[er] egos” that correspond to different rarity traits and interactive storylines.

The ALTS by Adidas collection has a floor price of 0.59 ETH (about $1,100) and has done 320 ETH (about $613,000) in trading volume so far. The Into The Metaverse collection, which was released in December 2021, has a floor price of 0.57 ETH (about $1,000) and has done 48,771 ETH (about $93.4 million) in trading volume since its launch.

Adidas has been exploring the world of NFTs and blockchain technology in recent years. In 2019, the company released a limited edition sneaker, the “FUTURECRAFT.LOOP,” which was designed to be fully recyclable and made from a single material. The sneaker was also released as an NFT, with each pair of shoes being linked to a unique digital asset on the blockchain.

Adidas has partnered with musicians, artists, and designers to create unique and stylish products. They have worked with high-profile names such as Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, and Beyoncé.

The ALTS by Adidas collection is the latest addition to Adidas’ blockchain initiatives, and it will be exciting to see where they take their NFT ecosystem and other blockchain projects in the future. The dynamic NFT ecosystem provides NFT collectors with a unique opportunity to participate in an ecosystem that offers various utilities for holders, including a stake in the ALTS by Adidas ecosystem, commercial IP rights to their character, access to exclusive virtual wearables, and entry to holder-only community gatherings.
