Brave Browser to integrate with the
Solana Blockchain
Brave Browser has come around increasing the user’s ability to stay anonymous while browsing. The functions of Brave include blocking ads and their ability to follow you across the web ( yes, that’s a thing). Brave uses its technology to put VPN, ad blocking, private search, and incognito all into one simple browser. Another amazing feature of Brave has been the native crypto wallet embedded into the browser all while promoting their very own Basic Attention Token, or BAT. Brave has become a reliable browser for all in the crypto and DeFi space.
The Solana blockchain is seeing growth across the board with heavy hitters in the Ethereum ecosystem now making the switch to Solana. The team at brave has noticed the amazing potential and growth of Solana and decided to integrate Solana into the browser. This means that more than 42 million users will be able to access the full ecosystem of Solana DApps.
The Solana Breakpoint conference in Lisbon was full of great news for the Solana ecosystem and its actors. During the conference executives from both Solana and Brave announced the integration of Solana and how the browser would feature Solana decentralized apps, or DApps. Solana has simultaneously agreed to promote the adoption of the BAT token among the users of it’s DApp.
When asked about the collaboration Anatoly Yakoveniko, the CEO of Solana Labs stated “The mobile web will be the gateway to Web3. Deep integration with browsers is key to helping DApps build the best web experiences. Brave’s announcement to support Solana is an important step to onboard the next billion users to Solana”. The CEO and Co-Founder of Brave said the agreement would “seamlessly pave the way for the next billion crypto users to harness applications and tokens”*
At the time of this writing, the Brave browser has 42 million active monthly users and 1.3 million content creators. Both platforms stand to benefit greatly from this collaboration and the Solana blockchain gains another reason for its amazing growth.
